Brian Meagher Announces Candidacy for Livonia City Council

Strategic community leader and father of three enters the race with a focus on safety, smart spending, and Livonia’s long-term future

LIVONIA, MI — Brian Meagher, a dedicated Livonia resident, local business owner, and father of three, has officially filed to run for Livonia City Council. With deep roots in the community and a background in nonprofit strategy and public service, Meagher enters the race focused on strengthening the city’s future for families, seniors, and small businesses alike.

“I’m not a lifelong politician—I’m a dad of three, a husband, and someone who wants to make sure Livonia stays strong for the next generation,” Meagher said. “I want my kids to grow up in a city that’s safe, smart with its resources, and rooted in real community.”

Meagher brings extensive professional experience to the Livonia City Council as the founder of BKM and Co., LLC, a consulting firm that helps small nonprofits grow through strategic planning, grant writing, and operational efficiency. Through this work, he’s led recovery initiatives in the wake of natural disasters, helped community organizations build sustainable funding models, and designed systems that help limited budgets do more.

His campaign for Livonia City Council will focus on:

“Livonia is where I’m raising my family—and where my parents have retired,” Meagher said. “I care deeply about this city, and I want to serve it in a way that reflects the values we share: stewardship, safety, and strategic planning.”

The campaign official kicks off today. In the coming weeks Meagher will host a public fundraising event in Livonia. If community members are interested in supporting the campaign or getting involved they can visit www.BrianForLivonia.com or follow @BrianForLivonia on social media.
